Thompson’s Vantage XL takes to the skies with Qantas

January 20, 2015

On the 17th January passengers on board the QF35 from Melbourne to Sydney were able to experience  Thompson’s latest product innovation, the Vantage XL.  The A330 from the Qantas international fleet is the second aircraft to be installed with the new Business Class Suite and joins an A330 from the domestic fleet which entered into service in December 2014. The new product is already receiving excellent reviews. With a 23”-24” seat width, the fully lie-flat Suite with direct aisle access provides a minimum bed length of 79” (at a 45” pitch), extensive work surfaces, a large single leaf table and a wide range of personal stowage solutions. The fixed 16” IFE monitor facilitates ‘gate to gate’ IFE and a ‘relaxed lounge  position’  certified for take-off and landing enables Qantas Business Class passengers to maximise their rest and relaxation time. Over the coming months the Vantage XL will be rolled out across the Qantas domestic and international A330 fleets and is due to be completed in 2016.
