A new wave of graduate talent has launched their careers at Thompson Aero Seating (TAS), as a further cohort of its ‘Project Take Off’ programme successfully completes - reinforcingTAS’s ongoing commitment to developing local talent and investing in the future of Northern Ireland’s advanced manufacturing and aviation sectors.

Project Take Off provides graduates from various disciplines with a permanent position with a structured pathway into the business, combining hands-on experience, mentoring, and professional development across key aeras. The programme equips participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in a dynamic, innovative environment.

The latest cohort saw 10 graduates from Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University, complete the programme, with 21 graduates having completed Project Take Off since 2024.

Their enthusiasm, dedication, and fresh perspectives have brought real value to the business. The programme plays a key role in developing the next generation of aviation talent, equipping graduates with the skills needed in a rapidly evolving industry. Our programme also gives employees the chance to grow and develop through coaching, mentoring and learning from those through the programme.”

The exposure to different areas of the business, alongside the support of experienced mentors, has provided a strong foundation for my career. As someone from Portadown, I take great pride in beginning my career with a global aero seating company based in my local area.”
